Our Story

The Salt Lake Chamber Women’s Business Center (WBC) empowers women through resources and support, so they can discover new opportunities, enjoy their entrepreneurial creations, and experience the success and freedom they desire.

The WBC was established November 1997 as a partnership between the Salt Lake Chamber and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA provides a federal grant to the WBC to assist women in Utah start and grow successful small businesses through training, resources, and support. By the end of 2017, the WBC will extend these services to every county in Utah.

WBC Team

The WBC team collectively has owned five small businesses and speaks five different languages. They are an accountability partner to help Utah women get their businesses moving and guide them through the entrepreneurial experience.

Fifteen talented and driven individuals serve on the WBC’s board of directors and ensure the center’s team and resources are aligned to most effectively assist Utah women with valuable and helpful support.
