Can’t attend our in-person Jump Start training? No worries, you can take our online course from home!
This free training will get you started thinking about the basics of business ownership: How do I know if I’m right for entrepreneurship? How to write a business plan? What is market research? What resources are available for women business owners? To get started, follow the link below to create a free Teachable.com account, enroll in the class, and you’re on your way!
In-person trainings are generally taught at the Women’s Business Center offices in downtown Salt Lake City. Typically, every first and third Wednesday of the month, our business consultant teaches Jump Start. Every second and fourth Wednesday, we offer business essential classes on the following topics: business planning, marketing / sales, finance, government contracting, and international trade.
- Jump Start: Intro to Entrepreneurship: This class is designed to help you to start thinking about your business. Cost: Free!
- Business Essentials: This program covers a series of business topics that rotate every three months. Cost: $10 per class
Boots to Business: This two-step entrepreneurial training program is offered by the SBA as a training track within the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP). For active duty military members (and their partners/spouses) separating from service.
Boots to Business: Reboot: This program provides veterans an overview of business ownership as a career vocation.
